Moth and Dagger is an appointment only based shop. Some of our artists do take same-day appointments, though. Feel free to message them and ask!
-
Every artist at Moth and Dagger books independently. Visit our Artists page to learn more about our artists and find their booking links.
Additionally, each artist has their own social media pages. This is the best way to stay up to date with their books.
-
Tattoo rates are determined by the individual artist. Some artists have an hourly rate, while some price by the piece. Information on each artist’s rate can be found on their Instagram. During the booking process, your artist will be happy to provide an estimate for the total time and cost of your tattoo.
-

You are welcome to bring a guest, unless your artist states otherwise. We also ask that you bring no more than two guests to your appointment, due to the limited space.
-
Make sure to eat a meal before your appointment starts. This will help with pain management. We also recommend bringing some snacks to help keep your blood sugar up throughout the tattoo.
Try to get a good night's sleep beforehand, and don't drink alcohol for 24 hours prior to your appointment (this increases inflammation in the body even if you aren't actively hungover).
Eat a big dinner with carbs the night prior as well.
We also encourage you to bring your headphones, books, tablets, etc. for entertainment.
-
Each artist has different preferences. Please get in touch with your artist to inquire about using numbing cream for your tattoo appointment.
-
All of our artists can do coverups and reworks, it just depends on the design and what needs covered. Inquire with your artist for their approval.
Keep in mind that coverups often require more flexibility in the design choice and style than regular tattoos.
-
